The stated purpose of the Faubourg Marigny Improvement Association was first outlined in the 1972 articles of incorporation for this nonprofit organization:
To protect, maintain and support Faubourg Marigny in the City of New Orleans and particularly that portion of it lying between the Mississippi river and St. Claude and between Esplanade Avenue and Press Street, including all buildings, improvements and properties adjoining said avenues and situated in the areas immediately adjacent to same; to promote the physical, cultural, architectural and historical values of said section and to secure adequate enforcement of all laws of the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana affecting or pertaining to it. General meetings are the third Monday of each month. There are no meetings in December or July. Meetings are usually held at the Historic St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2624 Burgundy Street.
General Meetings begin at 6:30pm with a pot luck followed by the meeting starting at 7:15 pm sharp. Check the Announcements section on the home page for date.

We encourage Marigny residents who will be developing or renovating home in our historic district to make a presentation at a general meeting.

Meet the Neighbors
Our monthly social gathering that rotates through the businesses in the neighborhood. We currently have the second Wednesday of each month slated as the day with a happy hour timeframe of 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Board meetings are normally the first Wednesday of each month starting promptly at 7:00 pm.
We ask that developers and renovators bring copies of their plans to the meeting if possible and any other information that might be useful in describing their plans.
