Since Katrina, we have taken the reins in repairing and maintaining our beautiful park so that it will remain open for us to enjoy. This entails weekly trash removal as well as repairs to the benches, lights, playground etc.
Meet the Neighbors is a monthly get together for the neighborhood. It's a great way to get to know our neighbors both old and new, and at the same time help our local businesses. All are welcome! More

Historically crime has been an all too familiar fact of life in New Orleans. While the Marigny is considered overall a lower crime neighborhood of the city, the stats don't ring true when a person or their nearby neighbor becomes a crime victim. More
Ban the Bins
City code states: Carts shall be secured by the resident, between collection days, in such a manner that they are not readily susceptible to theft or vandalism. Many cans left outside are covered in graffiti, further adding to the dilemma. View the pertinent city ordinances.

Save Our Trees
The lack of adequate funding at Parks and Parkways and the wrath of Katrina have combined to create a dangerous situation for our beautiful oaks in Washington Square Park. We have created a fund that will care for our oaks providing yearly fertilization and buck moth caterpillar spraying.
