Sergeant and Officers of the Month for January
Sergeant Jason Collins, Officer Willard Pearson, Officer Joseph Stewart, and Jordan Adderley are nominated for recognition for their outstanding enforcement efforts in the 5th District. Through proactive policing, strong teamwork, and dedicated investigative work, they have led the district in both firearm and narcotics arrests. Their efforts have significantly contributed to removing illegal guns and narcotics from the community while enhancing public safety. Throughout February and March, Officer Amy Gisleson has gone above and beyond the normal expectations of their role. Officer Gisleson approaches every assignment with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment, ensuring that each situation is handled with care and respect, and her reports reflect that sense of dedication.

They willingly support colleagues, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a cooperative work environment. Detective of the First Quarter
Detective Michael Flores has consistently performed at a high level while assigned to the Fifth District Investigative Unit. Detective Flores always adjusts his schedule to ensure cases assigned to him are handled promptly and appropriately. For the first quarter of 2026, Detective Flores has been assigned fourteen (14) cases with a total of five (5) cases cleared or solved, leading the Fifth District Investigative Unit Person Crimes Unit in solved/cleared cases, year to date. Detective Flores is an outstanding investigator with years of experience, and the Fifth District Person Crimes Unit is privileged to have him.
