Asphalt Art Project to Celebrate Pride

We are a diverse city made up of diverse neighborhoods which is what makes us Who. We.  Are.

To celebrate Pride and our Diversity, we are decorating the sidewalks, intersections and surrounding areas between Mags 940 and The Phoenix Bar.

The current idea is to enlist the help of Jeremy Novy to stencil rainbow Koi circling and floating in the street to create a sense of space and place. But since we are a diverse neighborhood, we need to show our local diversity by including other fish that are native to us and the other places that people come from that make up the melting pot of New Orleans.

With all these fish in one spot, what should we call it? The "Fish Bowl"? The "Fish Pond"? Or what name do you think makes sense? Let us know what you think info@theFMIA.org.
